Llama Treking -Great fun for all the family. This is a new venture this year at Gornhausen in the Hunsrück and is only about a 9 mile drive from Bernkastel. Booking is essential.

For those interested in the First World war history and visiting the war graves why not stop off at Ypres (Ieper) and visit the Memin Gate where every ight at 8pm the Last Post is played to remember those 54,000 soldiers who lost their lives on the Ypres Salient battlefields and who have no known grave.

 If you do visit Ypress (Ieper) on you your way to Bernkastel why not stay at this lovely B&B set on the out skirts of the town. Its a bout a one hour drive for Calais and makes an ideal place for an overnight stop. The owners speak good English!
